Electrical Engineering B.S. & Human Biology B.S.
I build things that bridge biology and technology. My work focuses on brain-computer interfaces, analog/mixed-signal circuit design, and creating inclusive neurotechnology. I also enjoy exploring education, wearable systems, and the beauty of elegant engineering.
When I'm not focused on my main work, you'll often find me on the court or field, playing basketball, volleyball, and flag football. I really appreciate the chance to get out in the fresh air and enjoy the teamwork and strategic thinking these games demand.
A significant chunk of my free time is dedicated to my personal mission to make life just a little bit more efficient. This usually involves tinkering with Arduinos to automate tasks. Who doesn't love a good gadget that does things for you? Even if the building process sometimes takes way longer than just buying a store-bought solution – but hey, that's the fun part! I also love playing with web design to organize information beautifully, really enjoying the process of building practical solutions.
Recently, I've also taken up woodworking – or as much as you truly can 'take up woodworking' in a 3rd-story apartment! I spend days drawing out designs and finding cool ways to transform objects into clever pieces that solve things I find slightly annoying. I've recently designed a coffee table that conveniently expands into a dining table for small spaces (because magic, basically), and even built a smart platform that activates a light by our cat's litter box (which, full disclosure, eventually got replaced by a $7 Amazon purchase because it looked better and we needed the Arduino for something else).
And as anyone who has met me will tell you, I'm a tad obsessed with Notion. It's not just for basic organization; I've built complex systems to track everything from our shopping and grocery lists to managing tasks, organizing notes and projects, and even curating lists of places to explore. It's my digital brain, keeping chaos at bay (mostly).
Of course, no day is complete without some dedicated playtime or cuddles with our cat. Surprisingly Nibble (or Nibby for short) likes going for walks and playing fetch.
